Dear business partners, dear watch connoisseurs,

Following my 90th birthday in September 2006, I made the decision to slowly retreat from the active business world. But a pilot speeds up by instinct, as the aviators say; therefore while I am giving up the responsibility for the management of the business, I will retain my commitment to my customers in sales and service.

I plan to devote my extra free time in the coming years to further developing and implementing the many ideas I’ve had for new and unique watches. Therefore I will continue to use the expertise that I have gained from decades of creating high-quality watches. In order to fulfill these tasks to the fullest, I’ve reincorporated the sole proprietorship Jubilar Uhren Inh. Helmut Sinn into:

Horst Hassler, engineer and accredited watch specialist who has been involved in my company for a number of years, will take over as Managing Director. I am confident that Horst Hassler will carry on the business with my principles in mind: offering the best quality watches at the best price, providing direct advice and service to customers as in the past.

About GUINAND: This Swiss company was founded in 1865 by the Guinand brothers in Les Brenets in the Jura Mountains, and has been under my ownership since 1996. GUINAND came to be known through the production of the first chronographs and split seconds chronographs. I have worked together with Guinand since 1953, when they started producing all Sinn watches up until 1994. GUINAND was well-known for its complication-watches and produced watches for many reputable watch companies in Switzerland.

Through this business change I want to help make the name Guinand popular again.
